Job Objective

The Material  Planning Supervisor will lead the production planning team in reviewing material requirements according to the master production schedule, ensuring that materials are available in the required quantity and at the right time for manufacturing. This role supervises strategic inventory levels, guarantees alignment with customer demand, and coordinates with cross-functional areas to prevent production shortages.

Main Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and supervise the material  planning team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and achievement of objectives.

• Receive customer demand through the Demand Analyst. - Supervisor 
• Keep the daily and weekly scheduling control file updated.
• Review and analyze material shortages and discrepancies with the warehouse.
• Schedule and follow up on shortages with production.
• Conduct physical review and daily scrap reporting.
• Monitor future customer requirements together with Customer Service Representatives.
• Follow up on production line parts to avoid shortages.
• Maintain adequate levels of strategic raw material inventories.
• Track scrap and rejections daily to prevent discrepancies.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, materials, or supply chain positions.

Proven experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

Previous experience supervising or leading teams.

Required Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Solid knowledge of inventory and warehouse control.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory).

Familiarity with Kanban and/or Just-in-Time systems.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.

Conversational English (mandatory).

Sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.

Job Conditions

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 MXN monthly (gross).

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with availability to attend early morning calls when required.

Mobility: Required between Apodaca and Guadalupe plants.
